1: Tbilisi – Arrival – Tbilisi city Tour

After little break we will have an excursion around the capital. We will visit Sameba Cathedral, the largest cathedral in the Caucasus; also will visit the old district of Tbilisi, Metekhi Church, which is built on a rock, overlooking the Mtkvari River; we will rise to the Narikala Fortress (IVc); in the same area. Visit Abanotubani – the area of ​​sulfur baths, built on natural hot sulfur springs in the 17-19 centuries. Walk through the evening sparkling lights of the old city.

2: Tbilisi – Telavi – Tsinandali – Tbilisi

After Breakfast your guide and driver will pick up you from the hotel. Today we will visit Kakheti, which is known with its Oldests Castles, winery and wine producing traditions. In Tsinandali – you will have opportunity to visit wine cellars and the estate of Prince Chavchavadze. Beautiful garden, unique Antiques of the 19th century. It was here that the first winery (European technology) was built. Also here sounded the first Grand piano in Georgia, and that the estate of Alexander Griboyedov met his wife Nina Chavchavadze. After you will have opportunity of Wine Tasting.  In Telavi  we will see the the Palace of Irakli II which is considered to be the best preserved medieval royal palace in Georgia. Built by King Archil in 1667-1675, it was the residence of Kakhetian kings during the 17th and 18th centuries. In the evening return to Tbilisi.

3: Tbilisi – Mtskheta – Ananuri – Gudauri

After breakfast we will visit Mtskheta, the ancient capital of Georgia – the kingdom of Iberia. This little city is on the UNESCO world heritage list. It was inhabited since 1000 BC. Mtskheta was the religious center of the country, where St. Nino converted the country into Christianity in the 337 CE. E. We will visit: Svetitskhoveli Cathedral – which was built in the 11th-century. After we will visit the Monastery of Jvari – a monastery of the 6th century. It was built on a hill overlooking the confluence of two rivers Mtkvari and Aragvi. After Drive to Ananuri Castle former residence of Argveti Dukes dating back to the XVI-XVII cc. and Jinvaly water reservoir of amazing beauty.  After drive to Gudauri.

4:Gudauri – Kazbegi – Gori – Borjomi

Early in the morning after breakfast a stunning drive from Gudauri along the Tergi River will bring us to Kazbegi – the main town in the region. In Kazbegi we will visit Gergeti Trinity Church located at 2170m. Weather permitting you may catch a glimpse of the highest glaciers in the Caucasus – Mt Kazbegi (5047m). After we will go to Borjomi resort and on the way we will have a stop in the city of Gori, where we can visit Gori Castle and the museum of Ioseb Stalin. In the evening we will be in Borjomi, where we can breathe a fresh air of Borjomi park and taste natural Borjomi spring water.

5: Borjomi – Vardzia – Akhaltsikhe – Borjomi

Today after breakfast drive to Vardzia, a city that is carved into a rock. Vardzia was founded in the XII-XIII centuries, during the reign of George III and his daughter Queen Tamar, to protect the southern borders of Georgia. This is a real multi-story complex with over 600 interconnected rooms, which are stretched along the mountain for 800 meters in length, in the depth of the mountain to 50 meters and at a height of eight floors. When enemy attacked, the monastery became a refuge for civilians and could accommodate up to 20,000 people. In the middle of the complex is the Assumption Church, which is decorated with fescues. After visit Akhaltsikhe. The name of the city is translated as “new fortress”. Later return to Borjomi.

6: Borjomi – Kutaisi –Tbilisi

After breakfast we go to Kutaisi. In Kutaisi we will have a lunch and visit the Bagrati Temple and the Gelati Monastery (12th century UNESCO World Heritage Site). Kutaisi was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Colchis. Archaeological evidence suggests that the city functioned as the capital of the kingdom of Colchis at the beginning of the second millennium BC. From 978 to 1122 Kutaisi was the capital of the United Kingdom of Georgia, and from the 15th century until 1810 it was. After, a trip to Tskhaltubo. Visit Prometheus cave, which is one of Georgia’s natural wonders, providing visitors with spectacular examples of stalactite, stalagmite, petrified waterfalls, cave pearls, underground rivers and lakes. After discovering western part of Georgia we will return to the Capital – Tbilisi.
